EU border biometrics are now live

Since April 2026, the EU Entry/Exit System records fingerprints and facial scans at Schengen borders in place of passport stamps. First entry takes marginally longer; travellers should expect it.

Multi-year Schengen visas cost the same €90

Under the EU cascade rule, applicants with two recent short-stay Schengen visas may be considered for multi-year, multiple-entry visas at no additional fee. Eligible clients are always advised to apply on this basis.

US fee structure changed in 2026

A $250 Visa Integrity Fee now applies to most non-immigrant categories alongside the $185 application fee — approximately ₹36,000–40,000 per applicant in total.

Apply through your main destination

Schengen regulations require applying via the country of longest stay — not the consulate with the earliest appointment. Errors here are a common and avoidable refusal ground.

Government fees are non-refundable

Every consular fee is forfeited on refusal. This is precisely why rigorous pre-assessment matters more than optimistic salesmanship.

US and certain other visas require a brief consular interview — typically under three minutes. Its sole purpose is establishing that your stated plan is genuine. Our preparation notes:

One clear, truthful sentence: "Tourism with my wife — ten days, primarily New York and Niagara." Memorised speeches and rambling raise doubt; simple accuracy lowers it.
Know your trip cost and funding source. If sponsored, state the relationship plainly. Never inflate figures — your documents are in front of the officer.
Your occupation, business, family and property are your return ticket in the officer's assessment. State them with confidence — this single answer addresses the question behind every question.
Greet briefly, answer only what is asked, present documents only when requested, never argue. Calm brevity reads as confidence; confidence reads as credibility.
Accept the decision courteously — objections are recorded. We then review the refusal ground with you and advise whether, when and how a reapplication is worthwhile.
